Yes there is, we've discussed this before.

refugee lands on British soil….ok that’s an “illegal immigrant”

5 mins later, refugee says “I want to apply for asylum”

So you are correct…..for 5 mins :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

The Russians helped to stabilise EU energy costs by increasing Gas exports to the EU.
Whether you like it or not Notch, the Russians are an important factor when it comes to the cost of energy in the EU and by extention the UK

Fillyboys childish and endless attempts at proving EUs weakness……are awfully silly in terms of Russia.

UK is more under the thumb of Russia than the EU

Fillyboy and you voted for a political party bankrolled by Russians
Russia is sinking vast sums in London property….the city is awash with Russian laundered money

Who do you reckon is the biggest threat to democracy, Russia or the EU.

Russia - by a country mile. They intended to, and have destroyed democracy in the US, in one fell swoop. It will take many years to unpick the damage.

You don't really believe that, do you.

Those no such thing as an illegal migrant, they're perfectly legal asylum seekers.
It isn't just that border in Eastern Europe that has a migrant problem.
Therefor you support the right of the migrant/refugees on the Belarus border to enter Poland.

I think that Russia would love to see a break-down of democracy in the UK too - yes correct.
If that is the case, why don't the Russians just turn off the gas, and watch the EU fall into anarchy.
Quote.

More than 70 percent of Germany’s energy supply depends on imports. Russia alone accounts for a quarter of Germany’s gas, oil and coal imports. And real alternatives are not yet in sight.
Over 30% of the EUs Oil and Gas comes from Russia.
If Russia turned the taps off, the price of energy would skyrocket and cause social upheaval.
Why don't the Russians do that, or maybe money is more important than ideology to them.

Borders: As we Brits have sent half our army* to help defend the Polish border with Belarus, how about using the other half to defend our border with France?

Russia is very likely to become much more difficult with gas, as far as I can see. They've done it before.
They used to be big grain importers, so that was a threat to their closing the tap. They've had the sense to put that right, so they're net grain exporters now. With covid their production has been hit ( guess what, they use a lot of immigrants...) so a couple of the Stans are being hit with high prices.
They muck about with supplies to Ukraine who then pinch some intended for the EU...
UK only gets 5% gas from Russia but EU gets much more. More arguments coming there, then. UK has tiny storage compared with Italy, Germany, France.

I'm pretty sure you are not that naive. He won't risk harming his income. Destabilising the EU is high on the agenda. He must be clapping his hands with joy, regards bumbling Boris.

Putin is a wily old fox. Helping Trump into The Whitehouse was a masterstroke. It has damaged the US no end and he continues to enjoy his good luck.

The Refugee Council have slightly different nomenclature for the various stages of refugees, asylum seekers, and migrants, etc.
The refugee Council use the same nomenclature as the UN:

Refugee
The definition of a refugee according to The 1951 United Nations Convention Relating to the Status of Refugees is:
“A person who owing to a well-founded fear of being persecuted for reasons of race, religion, nationality, membership of a particular social group or political opinion, is outside the country of his nationality and is unable or, owing to such fear, is unwilling to avail himself of the protection of that country; or who, not having a nationality and being outside the country of his former habitual residence as a result of such events, is unable or, owing to such fear, is unwilling to return to it.”

In the UK, a person becomes a refugee when government agrees that an individual who has applied for asylum meets the definition in the Refugee Convention
https://www.refugeecouncil.org.uk/information/refugee-asylum-facts/the-truth-about-asylum/
So UK use the term refugee as someone who has successfully applied for Asylum.
And, according to UK, an Asylum Seeker is someone who has left their country of nationality and is seeking refuge somewhere else.

According to the UN Convention, there is no such thing as an illegal refugee.
According to the UK definition, there is no such thing as an illegal Asylum Seeker.

Therefore any Asylum Seeker landing on UK shores is, by definition either an Asylum Seeker (UK definition), or a refugee (UN definition), and neither is illegal by any means.

The only country that has really stood up to the Russians are the Turks

militarily in Syria

and downing one of there jet fighters that entered Turkish air space and supplying the Ukraines with drones

Bell a russian troops have attempted to destroy a fence on the polish border in order to push the migrants across the border into Poland

A small advance party, engineers, to assist with planning on the border fortifications. Doubtless when the **** hits the fan, British boots will be the first on the ground, as always.

RAF doing reconnaissance, tailing Russian bombers, making their presence felt.

OK, only 10 troops as of Friday, (that we know of) that's ten ******G times more than the EU, of which Poland is a member have sent.

On Saturday, the EU pledged their 'support'.
