Mystery pipe

Can anybody identify this that I found running through my ceiling cavity? Is this a pipe or wiring. It seems to have perforations in it but may just be angle of endoscope image. Many thanks to anyone who can help.

But people might use it for running cables.

The marks are to indicate where to cut and/or how far to insert into the fittings. It'll be for either water supply or central heating.

I agree however we dont know for certain what is inside.

Speedfit pipe, may be carrying water, or used as conduit.
