Hi all!
I have a Riva Biasi M90D Combi boiler. It heats a small system of 4 radiators, and has been in situ for at least 6 years (while we've been here), maybe as many as 15.
When it powers on for central heating it sometimes does a 'false start', where all the three signal lights flash (a pattern which doesn't correspond to any error code) and then it restarts the process. It is always successful after maximum of 2 tries. We have therefore gotten used to this behaviour, thinking the boiler is just a little 'confused'.
This morning, the boiler powered on for central heating but did not fire, and gave a 'lack of ignition' error code. We tried repeating a couple of times with no success. We then left it for around 15m and tried again, and it worked fine.
Pressure in the system is normal (1.2 bar) and while it's cold this morning, it's not cold enough to freeze.
Any ideas on where to start for diagnosing this? Any suggestions much appreciated
