Help me solve this problem please

I have had a good read through various posts which I found insightful and hopefully have helped me make my question clearer.

I am having work done on my property and need to amend the guttering on my small conservatory. The previous solution was drainage into a water butt that I no longer want or need.

My property is a shared drainage system and all bathroom and kitchen waste pipes are fed either through hoppers or directly into the garden drain. My kitchen sink/dishwasher waste pipes are next to the gutter outlet. I no longer have a dishwasher but want to feed the rainwater into the pipes to flow around to the drain.

I have attached pictures that show a small metal pipe approx 38mm from a hopper type drain on one side of the conservatory and a normal 68mm gutter system to the front and other side.

How can I reduce the 68mm to 40mm easily?

As I said I have read the internet and the general concensus is usually you can't so don't however I hope I have explained that this is how it is on my property.

You may also need a square to round adapter too and find a white version to match your colour.

Thanks. Is this not for inlet into 68mm rather than an outlet to 40mm or would it work the other way?

There is an adapter on there to 68mm. Not sure how clear it is in the picture.

Thinking about it the adapter would just act like a hopper wouldn't it?

You can come off the 68mm outlet with a 135 degree bend leading it to the left and fit it into the branch that you can set under the 40mm metal outlet attached to a short length of 68mm drainpipe and with the 40mm bung in the bottom of the branch (sealed in with sealant) and the 40mm pipe coming directly out of the bottom thus getting the reduction you need.

With bits I have I have come up with the attached. Though I would put the bung in and the 45 degree across to the branch that is available?
