Repairing these trainers

I think I used Fantastic Elastic from Poundland. Haven't seen it in there recently but available elsewhere.

Also look at Shoe Goo, or Aqua sure. I've used all of these on work boots and running shoes with excellent results.

Contact adhesive can be a bit inflexible.

If you are repairing other bits of the shoe then buy a few mini clamps to hold it all together.
Contact adhesive , is a flexible acrylic contact adhesive used to bond tile, rubber, wood, leather, metal, Formica, most plastics and much more. Remains flexible after cure and is an ideal shoe glue.

Despite all that, it still doesn't work as well as a proper shoe adhesive.
