Hi

I want just wondering if this is legal

I have a 4mm cable coming from the CU in the house to the garage protected by 20amp MBC

I want to split it 2 ways, one to a single 2 gang socket and one to a fused switch then to an outdoor light.

Which way should I do this

go from the house CU to a JB then to the socket and the FCB then to the light

Or

From the house CU to a FCB to a JB then to the socket and FBC then to light

I was considering it a protection for the socket outlet. The OP just said “4mm” so I did not assume SWA from end to end.
