Climate science deniers from a US-based thinktank have been working with rightwing politicians in Europe to campaign against environmental policies, the Guardian can reveal. The Heartland Institute, which has links to the Trump administration and has drawn on funding from companies including ExxonMobil and wealthy US Republican donors, has seized on a time when rightwing anti-climate action sentiment has been surging, and has set up a new European base in London.

Nigel Farage and Liz Truss have already dipped their toes into the cesspool of the MAGA mob so i expect they'll be in a hurry to join in with the latest assault on common sense. The next four years should be crucial in maintaining the surge of Green energy policies but instead we'll be forced to endure a Trumpian Culture War on the environment, since the first thing he did was withdraw America from the Paris Accord (again). Big Oil spent half a billion dollars supporting his election and they expect to get their money's worth.

I think most brits accept there is climate change but don't want to be forced into using electric vehicles. Many Amreicans seem to truly believe it is a conspiracy.

Aye: they're on the 'why the left lost' thread whining about banning anyone with a left wing viewpoint from commenting yet haven't the guts or the gumption to refute an argument against them on here. Weasels the lot of 'em.

They don't just want to ban left wing though

They want to ban anybody who isn't centre right or further over to the right.

They try to ban anyone who presents a cogent argument to their specious claims then pretend to ignore them to make sure nothing bursts their Bubble of Solitude. They're batsh!t, man!

Apparently passing an executive order stating there are only 2 genders is going to make America great again.

Exactly.

But it will counter the increase in costs, like tariffs. Oh I forgot the importers will pay them.

Incredible that supposedly clever people think Trump is doing wonders.

In another life he would be called a con man, and jailed

That's only one of the many measures being taken by the Neo-Con regime - Another is a new ban on Muslims with much broader legislation proposed than his previous term in office...

Civil rights advocates in the United States are raising the alarm over a directive signed by President Donald Trump that they say lays the groundwork for another travel ban targeting Muslim-majority countries, Al Jazeera reports. The executive order, released on Monday, may also be used to target foreign nationals who are already in the US legally and crack down on international students who advocate for Palestinian rights, experts say.

“America’s promise of freedom of speech and expression — a principle that President Trump himself has long highlighted — now stands in stark contradiction to his new executive order.” say The American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) [as] the decree goes further than the 2017 “Muslim ban” by giving the government “wider latitude to use ideological exclusion” to deny visas and remove people from the US.

Both Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio have previously called for deporting international students, while pro-Israel politicians often calling campus activists “pro-Hamas”, Jamshidi said Trump’s edict could be used to target Palestinian rights advocates who are in the US on student visas.

Dark days, indeed.

Sounds perfectly reasonable to me.

Targeting Palestinian rights advocates sounds reasonable to you?

Figures.

Sounds perfectly reasonable to me
Frilly the Muslim hater supports a Muslim ban that will affect perfectly innocent, decent people.

Frilly has never offered any sympathy for the thousands of innocent Palestinians that have suffered appalling atrocities in Gaza. Why? A = because Filly doesn’t care about Muslims he doesn’t like them.
