Smell in the bathroom

But, there is no smell coming from the bath drain whatsoever. It accumulates under the bath and then spreads into the bathroom.
P.S. no smell today since morning.
If you show me a shallow trap I can only comment on a shallow trap.

What other photo i should upload ?
Th

You could post up any photos of any pictures hanging on the wall.

How ever that will not help me in Essex help you sus out where your smell is coming from.

Maybe if you concentrate on posting pictures in and around the area of the smell..

I rarely use the kind of trap that you posted a picture of.

Reason is:

The small water trap can get pulled or dry up if not used often enough.

Letting out sewer smells.

Extractor fan pulling smelly air in from elsewhere? Try sealing everything under the bath?

I am not a plumber...

I have worked in houses where the water in the bath waste would be sucked out each time that the toilet in the room was flushed. The general consensus here was that there was a partial blockage somewhere which resulted in a syphon effect. As a test, I would flush the loo and, later, pour some water into the bath. The smell ceased to persist.

Might be worth trying.

Flushed the toilet and water in bath's waste didnt move at all.

Do you have a rag on the floor?
My neighbour was going mad about same problem and after 3 plumber left without finding any problem (but with their callout fee), I sorted the problem in 30 seconds.
Experience coming from when kids were teenagers and using the bathroom as a swimming pool...

Rag gets washed every week. But if it was the rag, the smell would be constant, not ? Also bath has panels and the smell is strongest under the bath within those panels. Rag smell wouldnt get there.

If you wash it every week then it's not the rag.
As others said, probably coming from next door.

Expanding foam it is then :)

If you are doing down the foam path, my advice would be to purchase a gun, you will be able to control the flow rate. It will cost you more, but it will be less messy. Oh, and the gun cleaner is acetone based, and really useful if you need to clear up any PU foam.

Additionally, consider pushing wire wool in first. Hopefully, it will deter any mice.

Thx. Dont have any choice at this moment, but foam.
I dont think there is enough space/gap to put any wool in, also dont have easy access to ram it in. Will have to stretch my hand under the bath to apply foam into gaps.

There are cans that don't need to be inverted- most need the can to point upwards to expel the foam rather and than the propellant.

eg

BTW, spray the area to be filled will water first. It helps with both adhesion and curing times (vacuum first though).

Best of luck
