Europe has been watching and funding this war for years now, never done anything with trying for a peace deal. No other country has tried to get this resolved either. Trump within a few weeks has got these first steps sorted and hopefully will get a cease fire that nobody else has done in 3 years. I would say that is quite an achievement in itself.
