12 nil to Notch

Only Notch lol

Notch do you fantasize about the colour of it as you bang one out

No messing here. Did I really say that? I genuinely don't remember

Mate. I really can't find where I said that. Can you just point out where it's posted? You got me worried

you will have him worried now trying to prove you did say it instead of the usual of him just making it up

You didn't he makes it up as he goes along

I've looked and I can't see why he would think that He really does just make stuff up doesn't he. So far on the spectrum he fell off the end lol

spectrum! his mind is in its own little Prism

Thing is you can't say much to him, nosall, odds and a few others because they have the power to block you off the thread, which they often do....sad really

Lol It's funny when one or two of them make total fools of themselves and then the thread just vanishes. They're sad for sure but the cover ups are funny

Trump is boasting that tarrifs are already bringing in 2 billion dollars a day.
So his idea to get the American consumer to pay a tax in order to pay for tax cuts seems to be going well, even if it doesn't make any sense.
Trump either has an idea that is so ingenious that it is beyond the comprehension of ordinary mortals or else he is just a flecking ejit.
Time will tell.
So Trump is claiming tariffs are bringing loads of money

If that is true, that that money must be coming from an increase in the price of goods…..paid by Americans.

Let’s see his supporters like gas112 argue their way out of that :ROFLMAO:

Two billion dollars so far, according to the world's biggest bullshi**er - worse is the revival of the American coal industry at a nauseating press conference yesterday he went on about bringing jobs back to America but fails to understand the nature of those low-paid jobs in manufacturing will be at the expense of better paid jobs in the service sector, contributing to a decline in the economy.

You aren't listening to T. Mostly he's on about the inward investment he has secured from the likes of semocinductor mfrs by applying tariffs.
He'll have that investment after Christmas of course. 2029, maybe.

Five out of the seven estimates Al Jazeera identified rank these new tariffs as the biggest tax increase since 1951, with the most conservative estimate ranking it as the largest since 1982.

However; The New Civil Liberties Alliance (NCLA), a conservative advocacy group, is challenging Trump’s tariffs in a US federal court, where it is arguing the president has overstepped his legal authority. Trump has pushed his tariffs with lightning speed by invoking the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, but the group contends that he is misusing the statute. The “statute authorises specific emergency actions like imposing sanctions or freezing assets to protect the United States from foreign threats. It does not authorise the president to impose tariffs”, the group said in a statement.

The 'Executive Order" has been abused long enough, as Trump uses it to extend his presidential powers beyond their limit into autocracy at best; dictatorship at worst. This legal case echoes anti-tariff arguments made by several other prominent Republicans, including Senators Mitch McConnell and Rand Paul. When arch-conservatives like McConnell and Rand argue against this policy it's time for the GoP to sit up and pay attention. If this trade-war has a similar affect to the Volker Shock of the early 80s then the MAGA mob will have their devotion tested to the limit by the Orange Oaf they elected into office.

I found this great article a couple of weeks ago explaining the various ways in which Congress has ceded power to the President over tariffs. It is very complicated!

Why would I listen Trump, he is a walking bullsh1t machine.

If you believed he secured inward investment as a direct result of tariffs you haven’t done your research.

It is true that Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company is investing in plants in the USA, but it’s got FA to do,with Trump.

Firstly TSMC started its investment in 2020 and expanded under Biden, but it has nothing to do with Trumps tariffs at all.

The TSMC is building chip plants outside Taiwan for a very different reason: it’s all about contingency planning if China invade and take over control of Taiwan.

Here’s a tip for you: never ever believe what Trump says, always search for the facts.

Tney clearly need to revoke some of that legislation and introduce proper checks and balances

It's not the best analogy but I'll use it. You know how we sometimes have the conversation here in the UK about needing foreign workers to work on farms etc because UK folk don't want to do these jobs? Well, when it comes to things like clothing, do US workers really want to work in US sweat shops pumping out clothing items? And even if they do, how will the consumer cost compare to clothing manufactured in Asia and will US consumers be happy to pay more?

As an investment guy on the telly box said, if you want to buy a $3000 iPhone, have it made in the States. If you want to buy a $1000 iPhone, make it in China. If you want to buy $300 sneakers, have them made in the States. If you want to buy $80 sneakers, make them in China.

Most people can see that. But I'm not sure Trump and a lot the US population can.
