We still have a struggling army. If we were to send troops to Russia/Ukraine, we would be at a stretch to provide 2 brigades, about 8000 men. I doub t the 'coalition of the willing' could provide more than 40,000 troops. How many troops does Putin have on the ground? 1,000,000?

US has 18 ships inc 2 aircraft carriers in the middle east and up to 40,000 men, to keep the Suez Canal open for mainly European trade and to keep the Houthis at bay, we have 2 warships, the Italians have a frigate, the French might have a couple of ships.
So what is your solution given that Trump is on Putins side?

that's why we need a long cease fire now in Ukraine
That’s not an option.

Putin is an imperialist dictator who has no interest in stopping.
We need to throw everything at it now to force Putin to back down.

Unfortunately you like most Trump / Reform supporters have fallen for this right wing populist narrative that helping Ukraine defend itself is not money well spent.

Please think about this: Farage and Reform are sympathetic to Putin because he aligns with their Brexit / anti EU ideology.

Trump is sympathetic to Putin for a number of reasons, not least because Russian oligarchs kept his businesses afloat and Kremlin propaganda misinformation system helped Trump win.

He would have been supported, with a VP ready to take over
A bit cynical, use Biden to win the election, remove him and make unelected Kamala Harris the President.
I think the electorate and decent democrats were wise to that scenario.

The VP exists for a reason, not that Bidden was automatically unfit for office. Trumpf has done his best to tank the US and world economy, you have to blame the electorate for that not the Dems.

Because she was a last resort
Biden left it too late for a leadership contest so it was given to the Vp

Not sure that means she was last resort

even the democrats didn’t think she was up to it
Not sure that’s correct, it’s more true to say she wasn’t well known

Let’s be honest, Kamala Harris would’ve been far better for American people than a person with a serious personality defect and morally corrupt.
