yes that is when I was at my heaviest. As you say I have lost 3lbs since this was taken. You can see the attraction that I get.

All the time, we are on motorways, major fast roads etc. Dangerous work so the PPE is mandatory.

If the origin of those rescued is indertimate, there is a potential for being accused of people trafficking.

Also, if the rescue occurs at the edge of the territorial waters, why would British boats choose to go further afield to land their survivors, when they are familiar with their home waters. Much of France's coast is considered dangerous waters.

There is no obligation on landing survivors at the nearest point of safety.



You can't literally "push other boats". So if they refused and continued on their course, you cannot endanger their survival.
Article 25 says:

An intention to apply for asylum can hardly be described as "not innocent."
And you cannot endanger their survival on that basis.

An intention to claim asylum, while in French waters.

There is no protection based on an intention.

If you are right it indicates the failure of succesive governments' policies.

But it's still only about 10% of the total immigration.
A much larger group of immigrants are the dependents of the primary immigrant. But to make it more difficult for the dependents to accompany the primary immigrant will discourage the number of primary immigrants. That would seriously affect the potential of UK.

It's like complaining about the few millionaires choosing to leave UK and claiming that it leaves UK impoverished, when the vast majority choose to stay.

the numbers arriving by small boat is influenced by a number of factors, almost none of them to do with British govt policy, Rwanda for example had no deterrent effect..........which is why Sunak quietly dropped his "stop the boats" slogan and pledge

They had a working deterrent, people were leaving and going to other countries.
Ironically Ireland wanted to send them "back" to the UK
