Hi, I need to source this type of connecting/clamp in stainless steel. I assumed it was called a barrel clamp so searched and only full hose clamps come up. What would the official name of such a piece of hardware be called, all I need is the end pieces to fasten to a strap on both ends so the strap can be tightened together?

Thanks

Yes! Something like this is perfect, maybe with smaller diameter threaded bars. Are they available as ends on their own though? Can't find anywhere who sells them. What are they actually called because they're not just for saunas?

Don't think you'll be able to buy the ends alone, they're normally riveted to a strap of a certain size during manufacture. Buy any strap with an end that suits you and grind the riveting off, detach from your bought-strap and transfer to the one you want to use; suggest rivets with the head touching the inner face of the band (rivet head touching the item being clamped)

I agree with @robinbanks that you probably won't be able to find the ends on their own. I suggest you talk to any firm which sells dust extraction equipment. The adjustable bands they use to hold filter socks and waste sacks onto chip collector bodies are very similar to what you need and are an ex-stock item. In the same vein ductwork suppliers do something similar which might work (used to connect flexible hoses to rigid ductwork)

Sorted, yep doing as Robin said, already had that in the back of my mind, they're actually scooter straps. Cheers.

Try tank straps.

Google brings up plenty of those to pick from.
