Yes I PMSL earlier when I read about that. I have a feeling Donald won't be the walkover that Starmer was.

trade talks with the EU ( macron ?) dare say the US have lost the will to live it’s been going on for years

Incidentally the French don’t fish in US waters do they ?? :giggle: ;)

Doubt trump will lube up ? Unlike Starmer ???

Fillyboy, what do you think is the reason for you being absolutely brainwashed by Trump.

The stuff you post about Trump is just laughable.

The reality is Trump has capitulated on every tariff war against every nation so far, Trump is very weak.

Stock markets slumped in response to the news, the tech-heavy Nasdaq closed down 1% as Trump also signalled plans to impose tariffs on Apple, Samsung and other phone manufacturers. The broader S&P 500 lost 0.68%. The STOXX Europe 600 index fell by 1.7%. In London the FTSE 100 closed down 0.2% after initially dropping as much as 1.5%. Germany’s car makers were particularly hard hit, with BMW down 3.7%, Volkswagen off 2.6% and Mercedes-Benz down 4%. @ the Guardian

Trump's determined to bring more jobs back to America and wants Apple to move their factories from India - where they've just been set up. He seems to think he can simply splutter a few words into the air and stuff happens by magick.

Wow, stock markets and shares fell. If only we were warned that prices can go down as well as up, people wouldn't have lost money. Oh wait...

Tesla down 1/2 a % BMW down nearly 4%.

I think the markets have worked out who is going to get the better deal.

I wondered what was going on yesterday, RR were 20p up before lunch, 2 hours later they were 20p down, ended the day 1p down.

Negotiation based on mutual respect not threats, what’s not to like. Trumpf, making the EU (and others) an offer they can refuse since 2025
