After curious visits to Ali express and temu my algorithm has been hounded by ads from them
The tools are the same dubious quality as Amazon's and ebays but at sometimes significantly lower prices.
I finally gave in and bought a multi tool attachment for an angle grinder
It was around seven quid and I wasnt expecting much but it arrived in good time complete with instructions spanners and cutting tools.

Doesn't look too appealing but its quite sturdy and has a decent bearing.
The gubbins are exposed but I cant see how the health and safety zealot that will be along shortly might get themselves ensnared-they might trip over the power cord though...

Id also given in and bought one of the blue grinders for a tenner so the attachment could stay parked on it if it proved to be any good.
Its actually quite good compared with some cheap stuff but has the switch is on the end of the motor which needs your other hand to operate which sometimes is not that convenient.
Not sure if "Day plus" is the brand name or the life expectancy.

It was a bit of a fiddle pairing these two up because of the height difference but got there in the end with some 8mm washers added.

Does it work?
Surprisingly well and it actually vibrates less than my proper cordless multitool.
Theres obviously no speed adjustment but for basic hacking thats fine.
I find corded tools are better in the workshop and keep the cordless ones for work in the wild.
You need the grinders handle in place to keep your fingers off the motors air vents.

.

Theres also a belt sander attachment on Ali express that looks a bit unstable and a chainsaw rig which would be absolutely lethal.

Please steer clear of the saw blades for your angle grinder. Many years ago, a DIYNOT member used one. From memory, it was his wife who found her dead husband.

When I last checked, EU regulations stated that repurposing tools was a grey area. Your attachment is not dangerous, so I guess that it won't be an issue. The saw blades for angle grinders are definitely illegal.

In the context of the thread,
oscillating blades are no more dangerous than a regular cutting disc - probably less so.

Would that be the guy from Market Harborough? He even made the Daily Mail. There are also photos of someone else who nearly died in an angle grinder accident here (WARNING: graphic photo) although I don't know if that was a saw blade or just a cutting disc. I believe that they made it illegal to sell or supply circular saw blades which fitted onto angle ginders some time ago. Problem is, the Chinese don 't seem to have had the memo

I'd have to say less, in the main, although if you misuse the Japanese-tooth multitool blades they can cut you badly, bt then so can a carelessly used jigsaw blade, or even a mis-handled hand saw. As ever with any cutting, it surely pays to be a little wary

There will be other, older/longer members, who will recall the poor fellow that died.

Ebay was explicitly told to stop selling the blades. They carried on for while and then seemed to comply with the law.

Notb665 I think you are thinking of. That must have been about 15 years ago.

I don't like the look of that, anything grinder related needs to be treated with utmost care.
Wear full face PPE, and your big coat!

I had heard that Temu's business model is in the harvesting of personal data more so than in the sale of it's goods. Hence I presume, their ability to give away tablets etc for free, just to get you to sign up.
Personally, I'd stay away from them, 'good deal' or not.
