Hi, I've recently had a boiler fitted and was planning on making good the pipework once they had finished. I came back to find they had left it like this. I have posted this on another forum here and the consensus seemed to be that a) this is perfectly acceptable and b) I should have asked them to remove the ugly spigot (which was the old filling loop) rather than just assume they would have removed it if for nothing more than ease of finishing. Aside from the attitude I have noticed thus far from the trade, I am interested in further opinions from currently working heating engineers as to a) is this currently an acceptable standard these days?, b) do you think I am at fault for not mentioning beforehand that I would like the finished job to at least be practical to finish off with some thin boxing, and that I would like pipework that is no longer serving a purpose to be removed? and c) any suggestions as to what to do next?, thanks in advance
