What exactly is it you want to happen?
I think the reason these debates get so heated (in general not just on here

) is the perceived lack of objectivity. Here's what I mean by that. Of course, the grooming gang scandal is exactly that, a scandal. And if ethnicity data had been collated across all police forces (part of the scandal) over past years and showed the same thing (disproportionately Asian/Pakistani men) then even more so, of course it's something that needs discussed and addressed.
However, let's say it is addressed. Let's say five years from now the number of Asian/Pakistani grooming gangs is near zero, with hardly any girls being abused this way.
That problem has been largely solved let's say.
Is everyone then going to turn their attention to the remaining types of abuse? Are you for example going to be posting on here saying how abhorrent it is that white men are sexually abusing kids? Will there be a demand for a Louise Casey type report? Will white men and women be out on the streets protesting about white men and women who are sexually abusing kids? Will you?
Rightly or wrongly, the perception of some is that this (the grooming gang) abuse is somehow worse because it has been perpetrated by non white men.
It's ALL wrong. it's ALL abhorrent. And as I keep on saying, if the police and legal system treated EVERYONE the same, we'd never have got into this situation in the first place.
