National Grooming Gangs Inquiry Announced

It's ALL wrong. it's ALL abhorrent. And as I keep on saying, if the police and legal system treated EVERYONE the same, we'd never have got into this situation in the first place.
Of course, but there is a bigger agenda at the moment.

Is everyone then going to turn their attention to the remaining types of abuse? Are you for example going to be posting on here saying how abhorrent it is that white men are sexually abusing kids? Will there be a demand for a Louise Casey type report? Will white men and women be out on the streets protesting about white men and women who are sexually abusing kids?

You make a very good point.

The psychology of this is very interesting.

Every single Asian man (as in every Asian, never mind just Pakistani) could be rounded up today and deported, which is what I suspect some desire. Fine, their prerogative.

There would still be thousands upon thousands of girls being sexually abused.

What exactly is it you want to happen?

I think the reason these debates get so heated (in general not just on here :)) is the perceived lack of objectivity. Here's what I mean by that. Of course, the grooming gang scandal is exactly that, a scandal. And if ethnicity data had been collated across all police forces (part of the scandal) over past years and showed the same thing (disproportionately Asian/Pakistani men) then even more so, of course it's something that needs discussed and addressed.

However, let's say it is addressed. Let's say five years from now the number of Asian/Pakistani grooming gangs is near zero, with hardly any girls being abused this way. That problem has been largely solved let's say.

Rightly or wrongly, the perception of some is that this (the grooming gang) abuse is somehow worse because it has been perpetrated by non white men.

the problem is the Pakistani grooming gangs / Asian grooming gangs have been used as a political tool to stir up hatred

Farage and his gang dont give a monkeys about the victims, they only care about creating a common enemy

they are as bad as the council workers / police who didnt investigate properly / didnt report it correctly

It is a national disgrace that this is something that started in the 1980s and still hasent been properly investigated

I've not heard of 'Indian' grooming gangs but I have heard of Sikh / Hindu girls falling prey to Pakistani grooming gangs.
Using the term 'Asian' is insulting to Indians.
This problem does tend to be exclusive to the Pakistan/Bangladesh communities and the language used should represent that.

Its quite simple organised criminals rely on closed networks. Ethnicity, race, religion etc. must never be glossed over or manipulated when investigating and prosecuting crime.

The Casey report is highly suspicious of the "system" as she calls it. That has got in the way of justice. Nobody in possession of facts and a position of authority should avoid calling out data trends or find ways to present the data differently to avoid unpleasant facts..

Completely enabled by reports and data collection systems which hide the data, possibly deliberately.

If Reform weren't leading the polls, I doubt Labour, would have looked at this again. They are all politicians.

I think diyfun has raised an important point. Say that all Asian grooming gangs are stopped tomorrow. Will you still be protesting so vociferously against the remaining 98% of child abuse. Much of that abuse is against much younger children. Are we being objective. Are there other psychological factors at play. Is it a collective guilt because we have voluntarily allowed, and in many cases asked, the perpetrators to come to this country.

Lies.
Put up a shred of evidence.
He can't, he won't.
obviously Nosenout hasn't got round to reading the Casey Report

Let us know whether you are up for one serving of two of that humble pie, once you've read it. Chapter 6 is a doozy.

Wrong.Grooming gangs are not exclusively Pakistani, no.

What IS true however is the rape of babies (UK) seems to be exclusively a wite British thing.
There is a prevalence amongst Pakistani men to target and groom vulnerable teenage girls correct.
