Hi everyone
I only have a hopper/square drain cover with grille at the front of my house where a gutter discharges. This means when I need to pour out water at the back of the house I have to walk to the front to discharge it down the drain.
I’d like to add a hopper to the back garden so I can pour things away and - bonus if possible - add a forge downpipe above it to give rainwater another route into the ground drain.
I could dig down, add a hopper and then add pipe all the way along the house to the front. And then drill into the side of the existing drain (don’t know right terminology) so water goes into the normal drainage system.
I’m just thinking about this conceptually right now, is this fine, do I need permissions or to think of regs etc? All I’m doing really is adding a pipe extension to discharge into an existing hopper/drain. Or is this silly fantasy?
Thanks
