Hi, I have the ABS & Traction control light on, I’ve been told it’s one of the wheel sensors, if I find out which one it is and replace it will the lights go out, or will I need a diagnostic plugin to switch them off? Thanks

Went back to the well known tire fitting company (##s) to ask them to plug in and turn off the light, sorry sir you’ll have to pay another £55 !!!! FFS TALK ABOUT FIP OFF BRITAIN
Well here goes, went to one of the well known tire fitting companies, they did a scan for £55 and diagnosed the right side rear sensor, ordered it and fitted it, drove around for miles and it didn’t go off? I don’t think the garage fitted it, it reads to me that the OP fitted himself. You should have disputed that second charge, as unreasonable - turning the light off, was part of the job of replacing the sensor. Otherwise, how could they be sure they had fixed it?

Will that 1 do abs codes ?

Bought one of these, about as much use as a concrete parachute, didn’t show any codes at all….

Actually, looking at it properly, I don’t think it will. I’m sure my mate bought one for less than £20 a few years ago to clear an intermittent abs fault code on an old Volvo he had. Some scanners, only show/work with engine codes, and that is what you have. ABS controller, body control, safety system, setting and tweaking options - need something more specialised. I have one, that gives me full control, I can tweak all sorts of settings, via my laptop..
