Seriously mine was exactly like yours is now. My grass has grown now but the worry was the same as you have. Now I am worried it all dies as not enough water.

Any luck with the pics, cheers.I will go take a picture for you to see
Thanks mate I can kind of see it, and looks similar, appreciate all the help but I really can't see why a seed manufacturer would intentionally put something in the mix, especially when it's a different colour, bentgrass is a lighter green and this is dark, I think it was in the soil I bought, I could see lots of small webs in the soil, supposedly good soil thought it would be ok, however it's backfired.Seriously mine was exactly like yours is now. just keep watering it mate, it dissapears and the grass then comes through, last I looked at mine was a few weeks ago, it was exactly like yours, now it has virtually dissapeared leaving just the grass. I am sure it goes under the soil and helps the new grass root better.Any luck with the pics, cheers.

Thanks for the link, I know what your saying about the stock, but I was thinking as it becomes more mature just like grass it might get stronger thicker bigger and show more characteristics, however no one mentions nutsedge on YouTube in the UK, so hopefully not that. There is a facebook group called lawn right community. I would ask on there. I dont think it is nut sedge as the centre stalk tends to be thicker all the way up to the seed heads. However I have only seen it on google.

Thanks would you mind sharing a link, I'm not a plant person either I had a vision of a garden with a patio nice ISH surrounding grass, that visions getting further away I had a meltdown on here however I got some replies, so sometimes a meltdown helps lol and after all it's only a garden, but it gets under your skin sometimes and you become obsessed like a madman, or that might just be me .I think Facebook is your best bet. There are many gardening forums on there and lots of 'experts' happy to show of there so-called knowledge.
My wife is a member of a few. She seems to be able to talk for hours about plants and things. It bores me to tears frankly.

Not that bad, just fescue nothing else? still a nice green though, that's why I used a fleece this time to stop the cats ****ting on my seed and digging it up, though fleece not that great, or maybe my leveling could have been better, cheers.I have fescue in mine, not looking good at the moment as we have just baby sat my daughters dog for 16 days.

Never seen wild garlic, I'll look it up does it look similar?Could it be wild garlic?
