... of gaining power, so Farage has announced at his conference speech today.

I'm not posting this for any other reason other than to say I sincerely doubt it.

He’ll get a lot of votes though.

Will he get enough ?

You forget that if Reform win, Farage won't be the top man.

He is a paid mouthpiece (and he is a good orator), but nothing more.
My comment was tounge in cheek (I should have put one of these after it  ),

I dont really believe they will stop the boats in two weeks.....might aswell let them have a go though?

If he offered something realistic I could understand why people might vote for him/them.

But as it stands, no.

I wonder how many of those supporters realise that he is planning to leave the international convention against torture. I believe that when he faces a proper grilling during an election, and he tells people that some of those asylum seekers will be sent back to be tortured and executed, then more moderate voters will quickly switch back to other parties.

At this stage of any Government, those polls mean zilch.

We all know it gets more important as the elections loom.

Edited to add,..

But what is evident from that poll is that the Tories are still in freefall, even though they are out of power, and should be rattling Labour, and Reform
they don't appear to be.. there seems to be one party dominating the popularity and the two main parties are fighting over 2nd place.

Kemi is good enough, in a world where good enough, is not enough.
Starmer seems to think nobody can see what he is up to.

I'm surprised Reform are so popular, there isn't yet much meat about them but they've got a few years to flesh that out.

I'm certain both Labour and Conservative had complied dossiers on every potential Reform MP.

And as I said before, at this stage of the Government term the poll is totally meaningless. Things can, and will, change, in what way, is the unanswerable question

Talking head on Sky news saying Starmer using the opportunity to conduct more significant reshuffle in an attempt to claw back some of the attention from Reform and steal some of their 2025 conference thunder.
