Mandatory ID cards (Brit Card) to be announced tomorrow

This will be the final nail in starmers coffin - and Labours, all farage has to say is he will scrap them if they come in and its a shoe in for him at number 10 - What's his stand on it ?
Maybe he's had enough of being PM and is subtlety trying to sabotage his own tenure? I say that because I literally can't believe some of the stuff they've done since gaining power, starting with the winter fuel fiasco. Smash the gangs. One in one out. And now the 'Brit Card.'

It's almost laughable if it wasn't so tragic.

Does anyone still think that Starmer actually wants to reduce immigration?
It has been said before but it makes no sense to me. If he doesn't tackle the boat problem he will lose the next election.

Why would he do that?

Overall immigration is substantially down.

Maybe he has plans to seriously stop the boats but wont enact it until the digital ID is implemented. As that is the problem - that got the reaction that implements the solution. Its going to be a plastic card that you have to pay £100 for -- or if you have it in a digital form "for your conveyance" the it will be free.

Is that true ?
