Torey conference outcomes

They seem to be doing OK-ish so far in local government
Are they?

Evidence shows the opposite

Reform candidates told the electorate that they would make loads of savings using a DOGE style blitz and were saying they could cut council tax

Now in power they are saying: “there are no savings to be made and we want to put up council tax and want more money from central govt.

I could talk about that absolute shambles they are making….

I would be interested to know where you get your information from that they are doing “ok ish”

Yawn. Patronising right-on lecturing.

In economic terms, workers are a commodity. Not the people, but their labour. We used to allow immigration when we needed them. Now we have no need, and most are an economic burden. My use of the term "importing people" is a reflection of those in charge, it's done by them for their needs, not for the good of mankind.

The previous government was importing people to keep wages down. The current mob are importing future voters and to satisfy their virtue-signalling. Different reasons, the same outcome. Immigration largely benefits rich employers and harms working class people, mostly by suppressing wages and raising rents. Plus the obvious massive social issues of overcrowding and overloaded public services.

Nobody ever voted for this, in fact every winning party has promised to reduce it for the last 15 years, and has probably won on the strength of this promise. All lies.
Swerving and segwaying.
On all occasions you've referred to people.
People are not a commodity, nor goods, nor chattels. They can not be imported at will.
There is no economical difference between an immigrant's labour and that of an indigenous worker.

As to immigrants being a burden, the NHS would collapse were it not for immigration. As would other segments of the economy, agriculture, finance, hospitality, etc,
So stop using deceitful and untrue claims as an excuse to foment hatred against immigrants and foreigners.

And the whole of the electorate have the option to vote for whoever they wish. The UK is a free democracy with a high level of trust in the democratic process.

Claptrap. Virtue signalling won't get you anywhere.

The NHS is overwhelmed by immigration. We import key workers, they do their job but need a house, maternity, sick leave, benefits and the rest. They send a big chunk of their money back to family overseas, removing it from the UK economy. Many also bring a number of family members too, some of whom never work.

You're attempting silly emotional points scoring. I have hatred, against those who decided that this would happen, against the democratic will of the people. I don't blame the people who take advantage of us, we're complete mugs. Many of the people coming here wouldn't qualify for immigration into any other developed country, especially not one where English is the main language - which is a key reason many come here, as so many people speak it reasonably well as a second language.

When I'm on the bus and it's full, if there are people waiting at the bus stop the driver has to drive past without stopping. He doesn't stop and tell them to squeeze in, threatening everyone's comfort and safety. It's just reality, it doesn't mean that me or the driver hate anyone, we're just doing what's right for everyone else.

The electorate do vote, repeatedly for parties that promise to reduce immigration. Then they do the exact opposite. There's a good reason why people are angry.

Of course it is, but they're staff not patients.

So how does that affect you, apart from enjoying the fruits of their labour?

That's obvious.

Speak for yourself.

So which people and which countries are you referring to?

How many foreign languages do you speak?

Health and safety, I assume. How is that result of immigration?

The electorate do vote, repeatedly for parties that promise to reduce immigration. Then they do the exact opposite. There's a good reason why people are angry.
So why not vote for a party that doesn't demonise immigration, but deal with with the real issues, not the issue that parties weaponise in order to appeal to the populist voters, like you?

Zero sum ****** argument. “They” pay tax. Housing and other public services are shoite because people won’t/don't pay tax and don’t/won’t take on jobs migrants do. At a big road scheme near us there are more turbans than hard hats. The rest are Irish (you can tell from the flags). Try voting with your feet and refuse treatment from “migrants’ next time you’re in A&E.

They pay a small proportion of the money they get as salary from the government back to the government.

Tax paid on wages from the state is still a net loss to the country.

Well spotted!

But I won't be joining the party, and would drop any support like a stone if they turn out to be a bunch of self-serving liars like the red and blue mobs.

They seem to be doing OK-ish so far in local government, allowing for the fact that most are new to it. Despite the BBC and Guardian furiously nit-picking at any trivial issues they can find.

They're in power here. So far the world hasn't exploded and some of the many local pot-holes have been patched.

Whatever people think, it's very likely they'll be the next UK government. Embrace and accept it, the old system is dead.
So you have nailed your colours to the mast

Seek out Rupert Lowe's plan for mass deportations, released today Notchio. Huge and detailed document, it is in two sections, the first deals with the loony left and with loony left law that would hinder deportations; the second is the mechanics of deportation. Section two can only be enacted once the loonies of section one have been dealt with. He must have been reading my posts.

Sounds like the stuff of my wet dreams. If only it could become reality.

Seek out Rupert Lowe's plan for mass deportations,
Kicked out by Far rage, has to work out how to be more right wing, comes up with a plan to deport British citizens. Hardly left wing to oppose that.

That's what Himmy/Knave specialises in. That and endless, mind-numbing multi quotes. That's why whatever name he reappears on the forum with after each ban, I always block him. ...
How do you know if you always block him?:rolleyes:
Do you block all members with whose opinions you disagree?
