Can anyone tell me what these marks on vinyl floor are, please?

Had the floor about ten years but these marks have just appeared in several places. Nothings changed in terms of ventilation of the room. How do I get rid of them too? Basic scrubbing hasn't done anything. Many thanks!

Hard to tell from the photos. Why not try a series of different solvents? Decorators' wipes, isopropyl alcohol, white spirit, meths, acetone.

Test for any damage the solvent may do by applying it to an area of floor that is out of sight.

Point taken. That is part of the reason that I did not recommend cellulose thinners. None of the solvents I recommended should be an issue with LVT.

Assuming you have not had anything on-top of the vinyl when these have appeared, it's most likely the dis-colouration is coming from underneath, often a water leak.

That's what I think it is.

I'd clean with WD 40 which is a cleaner if you have any.
People think it's an oil but it's not really an oil.
Brilliant for cleaning trainers scuffs off vinyl flooring.
Be careful with solvent cleaners.
Alcohol hand wipes are also good sometimes.
