I replaced the little wheels on the bottom of my wardrobe doors, but now the tracks themselves seem to have collapsed, as though the wheels have worn through them or something. Sorry no pic of damage as it's really hard to get that door to slide...

Anyway, does anyone recognise the kind of tracks I have, and where I could maybe get some? Really don't fancy replacing the doors and everything...

Think they'll have been here since the house was built (1994)!

Thanks

I have similar ones, and the weight is taken by a large wheeled carriage on the inside top of the door running along a steel rail. The little wheels on the bottom are just to collect dust and fluff, and prevent the door flopping about.

The upper carriages are adjustable, but maybe your rail has sagged.

Thanks, but I think yours must be a newer system - maybe introduced because of my problem!

I've had the doors out when I replaced the wheels, and there's no rail/wheels at the top - just a bit of plastic to stop it flopping about.

The doors are very heavy, which is presumably why the wheels have ground their way through the track...

Pretty sure they'll have been DIY install. I fitted similar in two previous homes. Can't remember for sure which chain or the brand... but thought Swish as pretty likely. Same style: slot the door into top rail and lift door / running wheel into bottom track, plastic clip(s) around the wheel to keep it in on the bottom (iirc).
If that clip came off/out it could make the doors very stiff (again iirc)
:ROFLMAO:

https://www.wickes.co.uk/Products/D...cessories/Wardrobe-Door-Accessories/c/1000664 may have similar rails (Spacepro minimalist)?

But you'll have to Google/Bing/DuckDuckGo for other alternatives. Likely have to replace them with new if unlucky and no longer made / too different in design.

@JohnD 's may be the Rothley Herkules rail style also shown in the Wickes' link?
