And another one..

Never tolerate intolerance.

Sometimes you need to be pragmatic in order to stop something worse happening.

The public seem to have decided that small boats is the most important issue. If it can be neutralised, then we can move onto other issues.

We may find out that the public are revolted by the sight of asylum seekers behind barbed wire. In which case, a useful lesson will have been learnt.

If France agreed to stop the boats completely, but in return we had to accept a certain number of pre-processed refugees, would anyone be in favour. I would probably be OK with accepting 15,000 per year.

Stop Scapegoating Migrants

Massive Yawn.

Lets all note: Tribune is widely recognised as a British left-wing, democratic socialist magazine.

What is its political stance? Its political stance is generally supportive of the Labour Party from the left, allied with broader socialist ideas and trade union interests. Historically and currently, its editorial line promotes socialism, workers’ rights, anti-fascism, anti-imperialism, and progressive policies.

Dear Muppet, please stop being so stupid, unless you like being told and reminded which way to wipe, stop reading idiotic websites that have more fiction than your average marvel comic.

Lets put this to bed, straight from Gov.uk website or are they also Scapegoating migrants?

Lets put it another way, say these migrants were decimating and wrecking the economy of any other country IN THE WORLD, would it be ok for that country to try and stop this, or would they be racist also?

Anyway as i was saying read it from the source, not from a biased 'right wing' or an 'anti fascist' comic zine.

It’s also not fair on the British taxpayer. The current broken asylum system currently costs the UK some £3 billion a year and rising, including nearly £6 million a day on hotel accommodation.

This was published a few years back too....its only gone up since, how much could that buy in housing for UK citizens, generations that have been here all their lives that deserve it most?

If i moved to Spain tomorrow illegally too no way would i want to jump the queue and see locals suffer.

Now tell me, are we justified to protest about THIS ALONE, or is that instant racism? Is his is causing a significant drain, as are ALL the other problems, we are not singling them out, we are not singling out the Mandleson affair or the MAtthew Doyle affair because we are anti gay or showing faux outrage about paedophilia, we are concerned ALL of these issues are contributing to the decline of the UK.

When are you lot going to get that into your self deprecating cretin brains.

My plan would be to only lock them up whilst their asylum applications are processed.

I would say all single men aged under 45.

Those who are granted asylum would obviously be released.

Those who fail asylum would be locked up until they are deported.

I believe this would suit most people in the country and would neutralise this issue.
We've been saying this for donkeys years.
The Leftists are not onboard with this idea.
They want mass immigration, unchecked, let to roam free in our country and do whatever they want.

Agree, why though can any lefty answer this?

I can’t believe you’re being serious now.

So a 46 year old man can’t commit a sex crime for instance!

It seemed a fair compromise to me. But we can set it higher.
Maybe we should lock up all priests up to a certain age...

Given the overall rate of offending of said occupation, that seems a fair compromise ;)

If you'd been paying attention you'd notice many people advocating better border control and a quicker selection of genuine asylum seekers.
The Tories cut those services, by the way.

And they did wrong.
We need robust control of our borders to discouraged mass illegal immigration.
Kicking out criminals would be a good start.
Using all technology available to prevent them coming back would be nice.
And identify anyone entering the country.
Hard core prisons would be another good deterrent: south American style is appropriate.

It’s nothing like a compromise though is it.

I feel you might be Trolling a little, you seem too intelligent to actually believe an asylum prison for the under 45’s is a sensible solution.

Hey, ho though

Hey, ho though

I'm not trolling at all.

Last summer I spent a long time looking at which policies had been successful across Europe.

It would be a minimum security with decent facilities. More like a holiday camp you can't leave than a prison.

I think it's worth a try both to see if it acts as a deterrent and also to see whether the public really want it. Otherwise this issue is going to dominate the political headlines for years to come.
