It would be Uranium, but there's quite a lot more to do to get it to a working bomb. The chances of it getting spotted or leaked, is high too.
Mossad are deep inside Iran and they know what's going on inside the Iranian government. They likely knew that Iran were no where near to producing nuclear weapons.

They didn't start this round of shooting though.

The way this has happened is almost all on the US and Israel.
Correct. The negotiations were proceeding nicely. No one was more surprised than those at the negotiating table. A deal was in reach when the Orange Idiot and his dictator buddy decided to have their own little war.

Iran has probably learned a harsh lesson with loose lips and all that. Don't go around spouting off how you want to develop a bomb and wipe Israel off the map, Probably best to keep that to yourself along with threatening the USA through terrorism. Just a thought but completely relevent

Proceeding nicely according to Jonathan Powell, UK security advisor who claims to have been in the room during the final talks when Iran made a 'wonderful offer'.

Except it now transpires he wasn't in the room, that's confirmed by both Trump and Starmer.

It was Israel that attacked Iran, that is completely understandable. What is not so understandable is the role of the USA in this.

Agreed. This is not going to be a quick war as he thought it would be.

US/Israel have complete control of the skies, over 90% of both Irans defence and offensive capability have been taken out, Irans leaders have been taken out, most of the IRGC infrastructure has been taken out and all of this 3 weeks in.

Israel/US could destroy Iran now within an hour, take out the water/electricity and it's game over. Obviously this is not their intention. There will be lots going on in the background regarding a transition govt that we know nothing about.

Boots on the ground?

My guess is less than another 2 weeks before the regime falls, but it is just that, a guess.

No boots on the ground, it would take 100s of thousands of troops to fight in such a vast landscape, maybe special forces going for specific targets though. Israel no doubt was after regime change and nobody could blame them for that.
from Atlantic council website..
Given the limited stockpile of interceptors, and Iranian ambitions to ramp up production of ballistic missiles that could reach Israel from roughly two thousand to ten thousand—meaning that they could overwhelm Israeli defenses and pose a strategic threat—Israel was prepared to strike at this threat later in 2026.

Trump's main concern seems to be the stock market and the price of oil. This is no way to run a war. Even his biggest fanboys must agree with that. Trump authorised this attack, but now oil prices have spiked he has told Israel no more.
If they stay around 100 dollars a barrel he’s happy, the price of oil is the tail wagging the dog.

Traditionally bombing leads to more resistance to the force bombing them. Blitz spirit and all that.

Assuming the regime will crumble or be overthrown is a bold bet
