One of the most powerful and technically advanced military's in the world. No one has ever flown over Iran before to strike Tehran, but on the same note, Iran has penetrated Israels air space too, they just dont have an airforce to fly over Israel. They can however fire missiles into Israel.

The war against Iran under international law(if it actually exists) is illegal.
Therefore all actions in that war are illegal, that makes the killing of civilians an act of murder, the targeting of civilian infrastructure also criminal.
Hegseth the ex talkshow host turned Christian holy warrior has the said there are no rules of engagement, that anything goes, his commander in chief , draft dodger Trump says that he will obliterate Iran , that is an invitation to genocide.
The effects of this war are already being felt in the West, this is only the beginning.
The Russians and the Chinese are starting to get involved, maybe conscription will need to be introduced, hopefully the Trumpards will be first to be drafted and sent to fight for Trump and Netanyahu.

You can't win a war with airpower alone.
They flatter to deceive.
At some point they have to send in troops to take territory and hold it.
That's when they will take casualties, if the Chinese and Russians get involved more than they already are, then it could turn into a war of attrition, the Chinese industrial economy is now bigger than America and could supply Iran with unlimited numbers of missiles and Drones.
The Chinese also have twice as many satellites as America, that is why the Iranian missiles couldn't be jammed and were able to penetrate the so called Iron Dome and hit Israeli and American bases.

Surely the Isreali defences were overcome by the number variety and speed of the missiles/drones etc rather than a n abundance of satellites

Yes, any air defence is only good for a percentage of hitting their targets, they can all be penetrated by a sustained attack.
