Reform Policies

Farage claimed he had bought a house in Clacton.
Was told that he therefore owed £44k in tax.
Then claimed he "mispoke", and that his girlfriend had paid cash for it herself, being from a "wealthy French family"
Journalists then investigated this, and found this "wealthy French family" had less than half of the £900k to their name, and that included the house they lived in.

Latest was that an Iranian has funded it.

Fraud, liar, and in the pockets of foreign influence.

"LOL"
What was the source of this story?

I'm guessing some Facebook page?

Lets assume the allegation is this:

Nigel gives Laure £800k*
Laure buys a house with her money

It is Laure's first home - No additional stamp duty
Laure didn't need a mortgage, she was gifted the money.

What tax is owed by Laure
£190k In the first 3 year's if nigel dies tapering to zero over the next 4.

Did he pay the correct tax? - it seems so.
Did she pay the correct tax? - it seems so.
Did Angela Rayner pay the correct tax? - not currently.

*he could also have loaned it Bank of Nige', or created a trust Bank of Nige Inc.

Good old Nige'

Not what he said - on the record, multiple times - though, was it?

do feel free to share how there has been a failure to pay tax that was due.

If the Reform leader was the source of funds used for the home, which he has previously denied, it would be legal for his partner to use them to buy the property in her name and pay the lower rate of stamp duty.
