Ok it can be asserted that's often and has always been what politicians do (spew lies etc) however whether it's through the advent of social media, access to the internet and so on, I think people are on to them more so than ever before.

Earlier this evening on the telly box, a Labour wifey said this ... with a straight face.

Everyone is seeing a bit more money in their pockets.
Everyone is seeing the improvement in services.
People can see the improvements we are delivering.

Eh? What?!? You have to wonder how much they actually believe what they're saying.

It gets so tiresome and, rightly or wrongly, I think this is the draw of Reform.
 
On one level I'd love to see the Greens get into government. Why? To watch their leader and cabinet squirm when trying to explain how they've not been able to extract all those extra billions from big business. They seem to think it would be easy, idiots.

You're going to support someone with little experience of politics, and what responsibility he had, he rarely attended the meetings?

Farage's earlier behaviour towards his school colleagues shows he hates Jews.
Farage's behaviour towards foreigners shows he hates foreigners.
His absence from his role on the Fisheries committee show his disdain for his responsibilities in politics.
But people want to give him a chance at leadership because they like his maverick style. :rolleyes:

You're right, our established parties are doing such a great job, there's no need for folk to seek an alternative to vote for.
 
Greens are a flash in the pan. Their policies are being exposed for the sham that they are.

They may do well today, but this will be their insane peak.

Do they even mention the environment any more? They seem to have morphed into some kind of Islamic Doley party. All their voters are voting for self-interest alone (more benefits), and to hell with the future. None of it is sustainable, they'll just make everyone poor.
