Account Upgrade?

Is that the only benefit of this 'upgrade'?
Oh no, not at all.
You can see what other posters are typing in real time. So you can report their posts before they actually post them.
I don't think I'd use that function, but others might be tempted.
I don't think it's an offer to everybody, just the select few.

you mean a subscribed keylogger is available? o_O

Is that what you call it?
If you have the upgrade, it's "alt bl + ctrl + forward slash".
I've tried doing that with one hand, it's not easy. But I don't think my keyboard is a standard keyboard layout.

Indeed.
Can you see what i'm typing now?

For £5.99 I can see what people are going to type 3 days in advance!!!!
Only for those under the control of chemtrails, who are obeying the commands to post what they're told.
I'm not under the control of the chemtrails. So I don't know what I'm going to be typing later today, never mind 3 days in advance.
So if you try to post what you think I'm typing, I can see what you're going to say, and I can change my post in real time.

I know what Koolpc is going to say later today, and who is going to thank him

Okay, here's the thang: the thang is, if this is such a good thang why isn't the thang in Forum Information - instead of random spam advertising questionable meat products - where members of the forum can see if the thang is worth delving into for the princely sum of £1.99?

If the thang has now twang then we can decide if it's worth it.

I'll stop saying thang now....

...you sexxy thang.

Okay, i'm done.

Some info for you: it says “DIYnot Test” because it is exactly that - a test. It is not currently available to purchase, and the wording has not been finalised.

Over the years we have had a number of requests from members asking whether there could be a paid no-adverts version of the site. We are exploring whether this might be a useful optional feature for people who prefer not to see adverts but would still like to support the running costs of DIYnot.

To be clear, the forum is not becoming subscription-only. Logged-in members already see significantly fewer adverts than non-logged-in visitors, and that will remain the case. This would simply be an extra optional choice for anyone who wants it.

It appeared before we had intended to mention it publicly, hence the rather unhelpful test label.
