why is loss of freedom of movement in eu seen as a big deal

On the subject of visiting the EU. I popped to france last weekend, by boat. No passport checks, no stamps, no fingerprints…. Just handed my arrival and departure PAF documents to the Marina… job done.

Apparently they have been moaning to the French government that footfall is down due to immigration procedures…. So they aren’t bothering anymore. Just random checks from time to time

Bit surprise to see you trolling to be honest Mottie.

Fair enough have your view on Brexit, but (still) wishing to be part of the EU doesn’t mean you hate the UK, or that you have to leave the UK for the EU.

In my view, It’s a real shame that people have lots the ease of working, studying or retiring elsewhere in the EU that they once enjoyed. Simples.

Plenty of ways to work and retire in the EU for non-members.

they can see that Brexit is a success and want a slice of it.

:ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

The one thing we can hold onto is that they are a dying breed.

That will be the Leave supporters, that will.

It is just a matter of time until the country unites again.

Yup.

With Europe.

We never left the European Union. If you remember, when the day came to leave, Theresa May et al just carried on asking EU permission for everything. The biggest thing that came from it is the polarisation of the population into leavers and remainers, who, like football fans, argue endlessly over the merits and demerits of the thing (that never happened).

Therefore, if Labour reverse (the non) Brexit, it will not change anything, apart from pleasing the remainer half of the country. The real Brexit will happen under Restore.

Yet the number of Reform voters is going up and up. Massively. Are you saying that Reform voters are all for rejoining the EU?

Funnily enough I'm not surprised...

The fact is mottie is simply a sad old bully who simply hates being proven wrong...

Which happens time and time and time again!

mottie doesn't understand that leaving the EU has meant massive financial harm to the UK, and the lives of millions of people have been affected detrimentally...

Not to mention the loss of choices for the younger generations of the UK...

But mottie has stated that he doesn't care about that...

And like all other rabid brexiteers, still refuses to show us a single tangible benefit of brexit...

So one has to question who the real UK haters are...

No doubt there will be the usual 'one trick pony' reply to this post from mottie ;)

Rees Mogg, the rabid brexer, took care to set up a business in Ireland to get the benefit of EU membership.

Farage, the rabid brexer, kept an EU passport and an EU pension.

As did lots of businesses that wanted to still trade with the EU without the red tape. Lots of businesses opened up their offices and distribution in Ireland and called it their head office but still manufactured and shipped out of the UK into Ireland for that very reason.
