Good morning,
How do I know whether my leaking skylight needs fixing or replacing? I'm not sure if it's internal condensation that makes it leak or the external seal broken. Leak started in January, I resealed it, no more leaks, but am being told I should replace the whole thing as leak will come back, due to condensation? The difference in price is £2000, so I need to think before I replace. Thanks for any advice

Condensation is not a leak, condensation comes from within. If you open the window a few times a day you will reduce the chance of condensation.
If the window really is very old and leaking then it would be worth replacing, although 99 times out of 100 any leak is due to an installation or flashing problem.
£2000 to replace a skylight seems a bit high, they can often be replaced from the inside so no scaffolding required. I'd be suspicious of the advice you've been given based on the price quoted.

(Obviously I don't know the size or access requirements, so it might actually be a fair quote)
