Tyre valve stem leak

Yes, but it won't be a very long one if you worry about everything the way you are worrying about a bleedin tyre valve :sneaky:
Well, that's only thing I have to worry about though. If I had other worries, I would have started a thread to ask for solutions. You will see anything I worry about will no longer be worried about by the end of the thread. Some say it will take 10 pages. Others say 30 pages.

Playing with the f-clamps today has failed. They are too light duty for the tyre rubber strength. Also they are unable to grip the bead rubber and kept slipping.

Next, I will lower a front brake disc on wood block on tyre. I have 375kg of press pressure available. This should work. I had a spare disc from a previous car lifting project. I will use that and bolt it to the car's disc top-hat top to top-hat top.

As anticipated, the disc press worked. I was jubilant and thought I was better than all the internet experts I know. As always, pride before the fall ...

... I struggled for more than an hour with the second bead without success. Frustrated and angered, I stomped the tyre with my foot before packing up. Then I noticed the bead was already broken. Well, it's obvious on hindsight not all broken beads pop. Some just accept fate silently.

Next, remove lead weights, unmount tyre, clean the rim and tyre interior, study why the valve stem cannot be rotated, remount tyre and inflate.

If only there was a mechanic/mot tester on here who is highly skilled, who diagnoses, services, and repairs machinery, particularly vehicle engines. He could advise on everything from routine oil changes and brake replacements to complex electrical and transmission diagnostics.

Never mind he is probably getting ready to have dinner with his family today. (happy fathers day Mottie)

Now, I have a use for this stuff. Some call it a "sealer". I see it as a filler that aids sealing by filling contact surface imperfections. I only see stronger stuff as sealers such as silicone and tyre glue.

But, can such a person do a proper argument though? If not, then pretty useless to me.

Well he did have his own bussiness and garage/workshop (with wheel balancing machines and tyre fitting equipment) and then went onto teaching.

He has helped me and others on here many times.

Ok, glad you are benefitting. I don't remember the last time he helped me. I remember once a long while ago because I thumb up on stuff I don't already know or for people genuinely kind hearted. The obvious stuff don't do anything for me.

As you are removing the lead weights.......
What trick will you have for balancing?
P.S Please remove all of the grot from the wheel inner!
John :)
Why emergency spare need balancing? Can I not balance it by careful driving? I haven't got inside yet, how would you know there is grot? Could be completely clean inside.

Currently scratching my head on how to remove tyre. All I have is a 12 inch crowbar for nails - same one I pried open the valve cover with, and some longish flat heads. I don't have the strength to do anything with these. The tyre rubber strength is nuts.
