There should be a huge inquiry into the dodgy overseas funding of the Labour-Tory establishment coalition. But of course that isn't going to happen (yet).

The sad reality is that the UK doesn't fund parties. They all need someone's money. People who fund them have to be rich. A proportion of rich people got their money by dubious means, and some want more of the stuff so do it to buy influence - e.g. those who've paid the Labour party and received back much bigger sums of our money in government contracts.
