'It's gone too far'

I despair at all this worship of Kemi Badenough! Why are people still taking the Conlabourtive Party seriously? Has nothing been learned from the last 30 years? Can nobody see the enormous anti-Farage operation underway by the Uniparty and its propaganda outlets?

It will be interesting if/when Burnham becomes PM whether he'll keep to his avowed support of changing our archaic so called democratic voting system to a PR one...

I wouldn't be surprised if that becomes another can kicked down the road due to political expediency ;)
Given we had a referendum, he has no democratic mandate

What to be PM? He doesn't need one. Several Tory PM's have shown how it's done.
To change the UK's unwritten Constitution? No, but that didn't stop Tory PMs, and he can always seek a mandate.
He can simply press ahead with a new Act of Parliament.
I believe there may be other routes available.

Off Himmy goes.. in the wrong direction as usual.

We had a referendum on proportional representation, which is what we were discussing.

So why do you think it was off-target? It can be introduced by an Act of Parliament. Parliament is supreme, and it's MP are representational of the electorate .
Do you disagree? Or were you just being slightly abusive in order to incite more abuse? Did you not receive the memo neither, to not be abusive?

Burnham has argued he doesn’t need a general election because he is sticking to labour’s manifesto.

If he starts implementing things that aren’t part of that agenda, he has no mandate. The lords won’t be happy and Labour could get punished for implementing something nobody voted for.

As per Tory PMs before him.

Did Liz Truss have a mandate for her policies?

Did Rishi win the election on his manifesto?

Did Boris's policies have a mandate from the manifesto?

I keep see gandas pass by the window.
