Foot ball fans ??? Decide to have a riot in London because they lost to the French

Similar happened in Holland and Belgium afaik

WTF has any of this to do with the UK or the Dutch

Arrest em all and kick em out the country bunch of dead beats

The French were ready they had 20,000 plod deployed

was it anything to do with the TV coverage - the on-screen scroe board had "Fra v Mar" .... Mar ??? no wonder they took offence.

That will never happen, as you well know. Same rioting occured with Egyptian fans the other week- jumping on cars, blocking streets, fireworks etc. The police did nothing. For the people who deny two-tier policing, compare these incidents with the Southampton protests, where the police were ready and special courts set up in advance.

The French had an empire in Africa ??? shocked ????? sounds very racist, how disgraceful
so it wasn't just us evil brits after all....

seriously though, see those two other African colonising nations tonight, Spain and Belgium - what a game, best so far.

I still think the Spaniards will take the trophy (unless of course trump some how manages to pursued Fifa to award it to himself - quite possible)

Foot ball fans ???

Yup - it's what they do.

4 arrests in London on Thursday night.

6 hate crime incidents, 32 incidents of domestic abuse, and 42 arrests, associated with England's match on Monday.

Football is all about the competition and two sides battling it out. The strongest and best survive. It is no different to the days of the gladiators in Rome, it is just more civilised these days, the fans are no different, some of them get a bit over excited and some of them act like gladiators. Harmless fighting between rivals is a very small part of football but it is usually organised by willing participants, it has existed since the early days of the sport, you either embrace it or look down on it. Not all football fans are hooligans and not all hooligans are football fans. It is a shame that football gets brought into disrepute for a small section of the sport.

How come rugby is different then?
Rugby has always been a more family friendly game since the dawn of it, it is a fact that the fans are usually heavy built and out of shape in comparison to football fans. I think the violence on the pitch with rugby satisfies the crowd without them having to resort to fighting as the teams are doing it for them. That is only my opinion but I think it is pretty accurate.

Actually a great question, one that I have studied too. I could give you pages of my research into this very subject. It is a very deep rooted thing and all to do with classes.

aye, in Rugby the hooligans are on the pitch

WTF are you on about???
Most football fans have zero fitness level.
Rugby fans are usually former players, yes, heavy but nonetheless fast and agile.
Rugby fans don't fight because they're civilised, unlike football fans.

For the benefit of the members with only 3 neurons working, I must state the the above doesn't mean "every single one of them".
I hope that's clear.

Jeez, what are we at?!?
Having to state the obvious to avoid some mental nuts rioting on an online forum...
