More physical maybe...aye, in Rugby the hooligans are on the pitch
And yet the players don't argue with the ref...
Maybe that is the proper example to show the fans?

I have actually studied this subject, I hace some very interesting facts about it and what I have said in a very small way carries a lot of truth.WTF are you on about???
Most football fans have zero fitness level.
Rugby fans are usually former players, yes, heavy but nonetheless fast and agile.
Rugby fans don't fight because they're civilised, unlike football fans.
For the benefit of the members with only 3 neurons working, I must state the the above doesn't mean "every single one of them".
I hope that's clear.
Jeez, what are we at?!?
Having to state the obvious to avoid some mental nuts rioting on an online forum...

You are way out with your assumption, it has nothing what so ever to do with educating the fans.More physical maybe...
And yet the players don't argue with the ref...
Maybe that is the proper example to show the fans?
You know it was a standard troll post, right?WTF are you on about???
TrollYup - it's what they do.
4 arrests in London on Thursday night.
6 hate crime incidents, 32 incidents of domestic abuse, and 42 arrests, associated with England's match on Monday.

Really? You know it was a standard troll post, right?

Rugby fans tend to be heavier on average than association football (soccer) fans due to broader cultural demographics, regional sporting dominance (e.g., strong union followings in wealthier suburban/rural areas of the UK, Australia, and South Africa), and a higher prevalence of tailgate or match-day hospitality cultures. You know it was a standard troll post, right?
Don’t bite mate, you know how he works.Rugby fans tend to be heavier on average than association football (soccer) fans due to broader cultural demographics, regional sporting dominance (e.g., strong union followings in wealthier suburban/rural areas of the UK, Australia, and South Africa), and a higher prevalence of tailgate or match-day hospitality cultures.

He just jumps in without any research or knowledge, I cannot understand anyone like that.Don’t bite mate, you know how he works.

Football is all about the competition and two sides battling it out. The strongest and best survive. It is no different to the days of the gladiators in Rome, it is just more civilised these days, the fans are no different, some of them get a bit over excited and some of them act like gladiators. Harmless fighting between rivals is a very small part of football but it is usually organised by willing participants, it has existed since the early days of the sport, you either embrace it or look down on it. Not all football fans are hooligans and not all hooligans are football fans. It is a shame that football gets brought into disrepute for a small section of the sport.

I wasn't really talking about those in particular. I was more sugesting the dermographics and root problems with football hooliganism in general. Football hooligans and violence are indeed a big problem but it is not football itself that is to blame. Same as Ellal question about the difference between football and rugby fans, yes there is a very distinct difference between the two fan bases and the classes in which both games are disciplined. It is actually a very interesting topic in which only an educated person like myself can discuss properly and understand the history of the ball games. There's some truth in that.
But the disorder in London was not "harmless fighting between rivals, organised by willing participants", and nor is domestic violence.

Actually a great question, one that I have studied too. I could give you pages of my research into this very subject. It is a very deep rooted thing and all to do with classes. How come rugby is different then?
"Rugby is a game for barbarians played by gentlemen. Football is a game for gentlemen played by barbarians." Oscar Wilde

A lot of truth in that statement.Rugby is a game for barbarians played by gentlemen. Football is a game for gentlemen played by barbarians. Oscar Wilde

Yup - it's what they do.
