Just saw post saying that Muslims can eat kosher and Jews Halal. I find that odd as the wrong team did the praying but if its true, nice touch.

It's religion, the 'rules' are redefined whenever they feel like it. Missing out on lamb Donner would be enough to make any Rabbi take a more pragmatic view.

As I read it Jews will eat stunned meat as a lot of halal is but insist on their kosher being un stunned? Likewise muslims will eat batches of meat which only had one prayer. It all does seem a bit silly. Why can't the government just say all meat fully stunned, take it or leave it?

I think you'll find the law was created to satisfy the British Jewish population, long before Muslim Communities were common here.

You may find that disappointing if it removes one of your excuses for intolerance.

It is true, Only Muslims and Jews are allowed kill animals without pre stunning them first. They have a very cruel streak in them regards this. You may not accept that this is the case but it is UK Law.
