Anyone else concerned about uk gearing up for war?

Some it seems are capable of putting on black clothing/balaclavas and making a nuisance of themselves in coastal towns...

Stick 'em on the front line against poo tin and we'll see what they're really made of...

Although maybe they ought to change the colour of their trousers to brown beforehand ;)

Not that old lie again. I can't say too much, but no we do not need a foreign government's permission to use them - we have a completely sovereign capability to launch them, I just hope we never have to. And our having them probably the only thing stopping Putin from going all-out with his.
Edit: Yes, it is true that we are reliant on the USA to maintain the missiles (but not the warheads, they are our own), but if the USA stopped that today, it would be "some time" before we ran out of serviceable ones.
But, if the USA (or those in charge of it) really wanted to screw us over, they could just turn off all the tech we're reliant on - turn off Microsoft's services and UK government grinds to a halt by the next day.

It's a drill to see IF we are actually capable of a) bringing them back in, and b) equipping them. It doesn't actually mean physically dragging in vets from their day jobs (I work with a few, but I suspect they'd be exempt as "reserved occupation".)

No one else noticed the latest airport fail. Its a hack by Russia there are calls for the boss to resign but the government have said they have full confidence in him, that's because they have told him to keep his gob shut and he will keep his job. Its a Russian hack which is an act ofv war and the government does not want to "go there"
