ive got a leak coming out of this crapy boiler, its coming out of the bottom left hand side, on i think the reversing valve, are these difficult to change, never worked on a duval before, wish i never answered the call. any advice would be great, cheers folks
 
Did one last friday took about 1 hour, its not that bad as long as the screws underneath come out , make sure u use plenty of silicone grease. it could be just the front section thats leaking which is a bit easier/cheaper . I agree they sh--e boilers
 
good going Hedsa. I changed the valve on one of these 2 days ago and it was a nightmare. Couldn't get the bottom screw out.

A liberal amount of silicone grease is a must
 
Is it the reversing valve or just one of the o ring connections?, saying that I have never put one of these back together without a leak somewhere.

stick to what you were doing before :D

find a valid reason to condem the boiler, you will be doing the customer a favour
 
thanks for replys folks, gonna be a nightmare i spose,mental note, must remember to ask customer what boiler they have before going round there. thanks again.
