That is uncanny, that is soooooo just the image I had in my mind - before he said he was a biker, of course :)
 
Used to annoy me when at the end of a tel call the other person finished the conversation by saying "speak to you later"
Many's the time I longed to say "not if I can help it"
"On the other hand" when I used to visit Northern Ireland they had a much friendlier way of ending the call, it was something along the lines of " bye you be"
Do they still use this across the water?
 
It's kids who say, " And I was, like..... ", " And he was, like....." :evil:

Unfortunately it will come to pass when all people do is grunt at each other......... oh b*gger, my son does that now :(
 
My son :

"You got any dolla, pops ?"
"Gonna get mashed"
"you don't know me!"
"dat is well bad"

And as for what he's talking about when he's on the phone to his mates............... ain't got a clue :D

who cares really evolution is continuos 'change has happened for centurys

who are we to say we know best at this time in history and evolution should stop here :wink:
 
my mother-in-law has a habit of ending most of her sentences with "as I say" which for some reason really winds me up. is this just a northern thing? the wife's family is from buxton
 
It's the ones that finish the sentence for you that does my head in :lol:
 
"proving" in the earlier sense of "testing" as in "proof house"

the exception proves the rule... to be wrong :(
