No one is selling anything to me, but not far from us there is a property that has pigeons on it every time we walk past. I'm assuming they are/have been nesting their & i don't want them on my roof continuously, so looking for ideas.

    Burying t/phone cable

Can i use expanding foam here

Removed loose trim from around uPVC door & a little bit of skirting board too. Obviously has/had issues with damp/mould here. I can feel it's cold in both gaps. In the gap next to the door you can see what looks like a membrane of some sort, is that part of the the dpc? The small bit of...

    Gaps underneath roof edge tiles

I did think they might be for ventilation, but another concern is that's North facing & worried about water ingress?

Best way of sorting this out.

Removed lining paper on halls stairs and landing because of mould issues. Hopefully the problem has been corrected Found loads of cracks & a few bits of blown plaster too. What's the best way going forward? Repair cracks & blown plaster Complete or partial re-board(if possible) & reskim...

    Gaps underneath roof edge tiles

Hi, took a couple of photos of roof tiles. It looks like most have the gap underneath filled in but there are a few that don't have it. Am i right in thinking that every tile underneath should be filled. If they should be filled, it looks like offcuts of insulation material. Many thanks

    Another Damp/Mould question

Many thanks for all the replies& suggestions. We bought a dehumidifier & it has been going mostly non stop over the weekend. I borrowed a ladder & got to look at the pointing on that corner. A chunk was cracked & loose so removed & repointed as best as i could do. Waiting to hear back from a...
