Replacement Intercom Phone for Techniphone TN-5HK

Hi, Apologies for bumping a VERY old thread but I have the same issue. According to an electrician friend who has checked all the wiring, everything seems to be working EXCEPT the handset actually buzzing when the doorbell is pressed! Unfortunately the replacement Bitron handset you linked to...

Drain guards for non-standard set ups

Was worried about cutting holes at the side if there was already a hole pre-cut (if not fully detached) in the middle. With a bit of trawling through the 100's on sale on Amazon it looks like this one has no pre-cut holes and is only a quid more so will give this a try...

Drain guards for non-standard set ups

Looks good but states the holes are 'pre-cut' - if you actually own one could you advise if this is the case or not?

    Slate veneer tiles

This is the annoying thing... I would never have thought they could be used as (the top surface of) flooring were it not for both the manufacturer and reseller stating that it could be used as flooring! Due to time constraints we will have to go with something else :(

    Slate veneer tiles

No, the supplier has stated that they are on a 'polystyrene board'... they seem to suggest this is suitable for using them as wall tiles but that it wouldn't be suitable for flooring (which I would agree with!)

    Slate veneer tiles

Would pre-laying something like Hardiebacker cement board and then tiling the veneers onto that suffice?

    Slate veneer tiles

Hi, Has anyone had any experience of using these (or any other kind of stone veneer tiles) as floor tiles? I've had some samples through from a supplier and they're about 1mm thick. I've seen some elsewhere that seem to come affixed to a backing sheet but are much thinner so you can bend...
