    Flipper Door Replacement in Shower

Hi All, I have a replacement flipper door (Valliant from Eastbrook) after my original door fell off and smashed into smithereens. My problem is I cannot get the old trim off the end of the glass wall. Everything is undone so I presume there was a bead of silicone put inside the trim. No amount...

Cheers for that. Yes it was a vented system before that with a weak old boiler. Thanks for your replies and I will do as you suggest keep an eye on it.

    Strange smell when bleeding radaitor.

It was done about 4 months ago. The rads were bled over a couple of days after that, but not since until last week so it could well be pockets of trapped air as you suggest. I have just never smelled this rubbery smell or seen the fine mist coming out of the valve.

    Installing Foil Loft Insulation

What about creating an insulated enclosure (with an air vent for the boiler) around the boiler and tank? Would that be of any help in a cold loft? It would be easily removable for access.

    Installing Foil Loft Insulation

Cheers Tony, I thought that maybe the bit of heat the boiler gives off may make a diffrence if the rafters are insulated. What do you mean by sealed air gap? Thanks for your help.

    Installing Foil Loft Insulation

Hi All, I am looking at installing foil insulation on my rafters. The loft is well insulated between the joists but I now have my boiler, unvented cylinder and digital shower processor up in the loft. It does get very cold up there in winter and I am concerned. My query is do I need to...
