My C Max reversing lights come on intermittently. I remember an old Mini I had which had a reverse switch on the gearbox. I suspect this to be the problem but cannot see the gearbox (without taking off the tray under the engine) let alone any switches. Can anyone help with its location...

I recently had a new oak floor fitted and the fitters cut the bottom of the door frames with a power saw which had a side to side motion with a saw bit which was almost a quarter of a circle shape. Does anyone know what type of saw this was as I'd like to buy one? Thanks

We have been quoted for the following work - Plumber to supply and fit - new hot water tank (standard size), hot water pump to increase pressure throughout the house. We supply and the plumber fits: New shower tray (760mm), tiles, door and mixer shower. We've been quoted GBP1,500...

ooops. typing error - will need a new hot water tank - will a high pressure one improve the power in the shower or will we be better getting a power shower pump?

I have a Glow worm boiler c 18 mths old and will be needing a new hot water tank soting a standard tank and a por shower?on. Question is whether to get a high pressure one. If we do, will this improve the pressure of water in our weak shower or would we be better getting a power shower pump?

the pump is on the same level as the highest radiator (all upstairs) which doesn't spurt vigorously. Some radiators have black water, some perfectly clear. The highest radiators are clear (from memory). Plumber is booked for tomorrow.

Thanks Dave, The pump is separate and probably quite old - the previous boiler was older than Joan Collins. Confirmation, it seems, of my suspicion that a new pump is required.

I have a Glowworm gas boiler around a year old. Not sure what type of system I have -probably irrelevant. 2 days ago the pump (Grundfos UPS 15-50 on speed 3) started making a noise rather like something inside was catching on another part - or like an old car engine where the tappets are...
