    What's best to lubricate very stiff upvc window hinges. I'm seeing conflicting advice. Some say silicone while others penetrating oil or WD 40. Is the wd40 not advised in case of damage to the plastic. Many thanks

    Thank you. I'll look for that one. I was concerned about the glue leaking onto the good surface as it would be difficult to touch in any damage, due to the colour on the wood.
