Well, all done. Took less than an hour top get the exchanger out, easy to do.
I ran some fernox sludge removing stuff through it but I think it is still sludged up in there. Certainly you can here it swishing about in there when you shake it still.
Replaced it and it is better- longer...
Right, looking at the manual that does look DIYable- few screws to remove and replace it- no need to touch gas. Is this correct? If so I'll give it a go.
Or is it cleanable? If so do I just flush it through with water?
