Steel angle lintel, as no room for concrete one, door would be only 6foot tall

Would it need lintel over door. Can't put concrete one in as wall plate is level with top of door frame which is taking rafters

It was rendered sand n cement, on old reds, was told to gun off so lime rendered can be applied

As picture shows door, new wall plate will run fall length to take new rafters. At moment it has timber half lapped at either end of door

got cavity wall which needs wood plate its 300mm wide. Is it allowed to fix down two `150mmx50mm timbers side by side to make it upto 300mm
