External door opening which will have mono pitch roof over it onto wooden plate, metal lintel or concrete

ALwORKS70, good evening.

If you have the available space between door frame and roof timbers over, my choise would be a Pre-Stressed lintel + timber, so as to be able to fix the roof timbers to it.

As picture shows door, new wall plate will run fall length to take new rafters. At moment it has timber half lapped at either end of door
